ORLANDO (March 22, 2019) - The FIU track and field team earned three victories to open day one of the UCF Invitational Friday in Orlando.
Asha James, Terrisa Russell, and Reed Service all took first place in their respective events. The Panthers are coming off their opening meet of the season last weekend in Coral Gables at the Hurricane Invitational.
Service, the reigning Conference USA Male Field Athlete of the Week, earned his second consecutive victory in the long jump, with a mark of 7.29m. Freshman Queshon Watson-Riggins was close behind, with a jump of 7.
