MIAMI (Feb. 22, 2021) - Student-athletes at FIU continue to raise the bar in the classroom, as the athletic department posted a 3.31 GPA for the 2020 Fall term. FIU student-athletes have now posted 12-straight semesters with a department GPA of 3.0 or better.
"I want to thank Dr. Elizabeth Bejar, the entire SAAC staff, and our FIU Athletics coaches for the shared commitment to academic excellence," Executive Director of Sports and Entertainment Pete Garcia said. "I also would like to congratulate all of our Panther student-athletes for their academic commitment and perseverance through the adversities presented with the Covid-19 pandemic.
