JACKSONVILLE (Sept. 13, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team earned a pair of wins on Friday night to kick off the River City Tournament, as the Panthers improved to 4-3 on the year.
FIU downed LIU-Brooklyn in three sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-17)., while defeating Jacksonville in four sets (25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-19).
FIU kicked off the day with a three-set sweep over LIU-Brooklyn, continuing the Panthers' dominate stretch as of late. Gina Lipscomb led the way with a double-double after collecting 18 kills and 10 digs, while Fiorella Murillo also posted a double-double after she earned 16 kills and 10 digs as well.
