EL PASO, Texas (Sept. 22, 2019) - The FIU women's soccer team fell to UTEP on the road by a score of 3-1, as the Panthers opened their C-USA slate in El Paso, Texas on Sunday afternoon.
The Panthers' record now stands at 2-6 for the 2019 season, while the Miners improve to 6-2-2.
UTEP scored first in the opening period as Danielle Carreon was able to find the back of the net in the 23rd minute to put the Miners up 1-0. The Panthers recorded two shots in the first half, while Christina Velazquez posted three saves in the period.
