RUSTON, Louisiana (Oct. 6, 2019) - The FIU women's soccer team fell to Louisiana Tech by a score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, as the Panthers wrapped up a weekend series on the road.
FIU now stands at 2-10 on the season, while LA Tech improves to 11-1-1. The Panthers currently hold an 0-5 record in Conference USA, while the Bulldogs are 3-1-0 after today.
The Bulldogs claimed the first goal of the match when Connor Barker found the net in the 6th minute to put LA Tech up 1-0 over the Panthers. Rayquel Berry equalized the score for FIU in the 31st minute with an impressive goal from over 30 yards out, as she stole possession from a LA Tech player attempting a pass back to the goalie and fired the ball high into the net.
