MIAMI (Sept. 26, 2019) - The FIU women's soccer team fell to Charlotte at home by a score of 2-0, as the Panthers played their first home C-USA match in Miami on Thursday night.
The Panthers' record now stands at 2-7 for the 2019 season, while the 49ers improve to 6-3.
Charlotte scored first in the opening period as Selah Gaylor was able to put the 49ers up 1-0 in the 33rd minute. The Panthers recorded three shots in the first half, while Christina Velazquez posted three saves in the period.
FIU was able to put some more pressure on the 49ers' net in the second half as they fired away seven shots, but were unable to find the back of the net.
