BOCA RATON, Florida (March 29, 2019) – The FIU baseball team dropped the weekend opener to FAU on Friday night by a score of 7-1.
The Panthers' record moves to 11-15 (2-5 C-USA), while FAU improves to 17-9 (6-1 CUSA) for the season.
Blake Sanderson recorded the victory for the Owls. Logan Allen suffered the loss after tossing six innings of four run, two earned, ball with five strikeouts.
The Panther duo of Javier Valdes and Jarrett Ford each reached base twice to lead the Panthers offensively. Juan Teixeira also added a hit.
