MIAMI (May 20, 2022) – After nearly a 90-minute weather delay, The FIU baseball team fell 10-0 to the Rice Owls.
Despite being tagged with the loss, Panther starter Carlos Lequerica tossed five innings of two-run ball with seven strikeouts.
The Panther quartet of Adrian Figueroa, Jorge Ramirez, Dante Girardi and Bryan Loriga each had a base hit on Friday night. Ramirez extended this on-base streak to nine games.
Panther relievers Angel Tiburcio and Bryan Pazos made their season debut at the dish with a trio of at-bats.
