MIAMI (May 21, 2022) – To concluded the 2022 season, the FIU baseball team fell to the Rice Owls by a score of 3-1.
In his final start in the Blue and Gold, Christian Santana was saddled with the defeat after allowing two runs over two innings with four strikeouts. Fellow senior, Jan Figueroa tossed four shutdown innings in relief to keep FIU within striking distance. Angel Tiburico pitched the final two innings of the year and allowed one run.
Drake Batcho also turned in a scoreless inning in relief.
