MIAMI (Jan. 16, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team welcomed Conference USA foe UAB to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Thursday night. The Panthers topped the Blazers 93-68 to remain undefeated at home this season.
With the victory, FIU moved to 12-6 for its 2019-20 campaign and 3-2 against league opponents. UAB dropped to 11-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The Panthers got off to a hot start in the first, shooting 60.7% from the field to lead the Blazers 45-24 when the teams went to the locker room. The squad was also 9-12 from behind the arc and 2-2 from the foul line in the opening stanza.
