TAMPA - The No. 42 FIU women's tennis team cruised to its 13 win in its last 14 matches with a smooth 4-0 road victory over USF on Sunday afternoon that saw the Panthers clinch the victory in under two and a half hours.
FIU opened play by claiming two of the three doubles matches to claim to initial point. and posted a 6-1 win in the No. 1 slot before and paired up for a 6-4 victory at No. 3.
The Panthers made quick work of the Bulls in singles play as Kabbaj (6-2, 6-0), (6-3, 6-3) and Akbas (6-1, 7-5) each posted straight set wins to seal the match.
