FORT WORTH, Texas (March 5, 2021) – The 14th-ranked FIU beach volleyball team opened the Horned Frog Challenge with duals against Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) rivals UAB and No. 11 TCU on Friday. The Panthers tamed the Blazers 4-1 but fell 3-2 to the host Horned Frogs.
Federica Frasca and Roberta Ribeiro went undefeated on court one, topping UAB 17-21, 21-16, 15-9 and TCU 22-20, 15-21, 15-12. Gina Lipscomb and Lina Bernier took down the Blazers 21-15, 21-12 on court three and the Horned Frogs 31-29, 21-11 on court four.
