HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (April 30, 2022) – On the final day of the Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship, the No. 13 FIU beach volleyball team defeated No. 10 FAU 3-2 before dropping the Championship Match 3-0 to No. 15 Georgia State.
FIU now awaits its fate from the selection committee. The 2022 NCAA Beach Volleyball Selection Show will take play at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 30 and can be streamed here.
To open Saturday, the Panthers outlasted the Owls 3-2 with the decisive match point being decided on court one. The top FIU duo of Paige Kalkhoff and Giada Bianchi conquered GSU 17-21, 21-17, 26-24 in dramatic come-from-behind fashion.
