DENTON, Texas (May 14, 2023) - Filippa Miller's historic performance in the pole vault highlighted the fourth and final day of the Conference USA Outdoor track and field championships for FIU.
Miller, a reigning second-team All-American, vaulted 4.35m on her first attempt at the mark, setting a personal best, meet recording, and securing the gold medal and ten points for FIU.
"You saw the joy from her immediately after she cleared the bar," said FIU head coach Ryan Heberling. "A moment like that was deserved for Filippa, and she's peaking just at the right time.
