DURHAM, N.C. (Nov. 27, 2022) – The FIU men's soccer team fell to Duke on Sunday afternoon, 1-0, in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
A 41st minute goal from the Blue Devils proved to be enough to end the Panthers' postseason run.
FIU was aggressive for the full 90 minutes, outshooting Duke 14-10, but could not find an equalizer.
The 19th minute nearly saw FIU take the early lead as a corner kick led to three shots inside the Duke penalty area, but all three were blocked by Blue Devil defenders.
