Men’s Soccer Claims Three American Conference Weekly Awards

MIAMI – FIU men's soccer collected three American Conference weekly honors, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Forward Pasquale Capriati was named Offensive Player of the Week, goalkeeper Nigel Van Haveren earned Goalkeeper of the Week, and defender Owen Travis was selected to the Weekly Honor Roll for their standout performances.

The Panthers went 2-0 on the week with victories over FGCU (Sept. 18) and Missouri State (Sept. 21). Capriati scored in both matches, including the game-winner on Sunday evening. The Altamura, Italy, native leads FIU in goals (4), points (11), shots (14), and shots on goal (9), while tying for the team lead in assists (3).
