FIU freshman pitcher/first baseman Logan Allen was named to the D1Baseball.com Freshman All-America team on Thursday afternoon.
Allen was selected as a utility player on the Freshman All-America First Team because of his accomplishments both on the mound and in the batter's box this past season.
The honor is the fourth Freshman All-America nod for Allen after a solid first year of college baseball. Previously, Allen was honored as a Freshman All-America by Perfect Game/Rawlings, the NCBWA, and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Allen was also picked to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team last month as well as the All-Conference USA Second Team.
