FIU freshmen Logan Allen and Jose Garcia were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Freshman All-American teams on Monday afternoon.
Allen and Garcia are each coming off record-breaking first seasons at FIU and each received their third freshman accolade, including the NCBWA recognition.
Allen and Garcia each garnered their second Freshman All-American nod. Allen and Garcia along with Adan Fernandez were selected Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper earlier this month. Allen and Garcia were also picked to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team last month.
Allen was tabbed to the Freshman All-American First Team for both his work on the mound and at the plate.
