MIAMI (Feb. 23, 2020) - The FIU baseball team was tested late Sunday, but the Panthers prevailed 7-5 to sweep George Mason and stay undefeated on the year.
With the win, FIU moves to 7-0 as the Panthers welcome Pepperdine to Miami next weekend. The Waves were 6-0 entering their game on Sunday.
The score was tied at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh, but the Panthers got a pair of runs to propel FIU to a sweep-clinching win. A single gave FIU the go-ahead run, before a SAC fly would score to make it 7-5.
