MIAMI (March 7, 2016) -- FIU freshman pitcher Megan Kugelmann (Merritt Island, Florida / Cocoa Beach HS) was named Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced today.
Kugelmann tossed her second collegiate no-hitter after throwing a no-no just the weekend before, as the Panthers blanked Florida A&M 8-0 in six innings Saturday night in Gainesville, Florida. In the victory, Kugelmann pitched six scoreless innings, allowing only one walk and seeing two other baserunners due to Panthers errors as part of the Aquafina UF Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida.
