Jacksonville State scored seven runs in the top of the 10th inning to defeat FIU, 13-6, Saturday night at the FIU ballpark.
The Gamecocks improved to 8-2. The Panthers are now 4-6.
Tied 6-6 to start the 10th, JSU batted around. Nic Gaddis's three-run double capped the inning for the Gamecocks.
FIU fell behind early 5-2 but rallied in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the score. An error and JSU pitchers Derrick Adams and Sean Rape hitting two Panthers with pitches helped load the bases.
Rape then hit Christian Khawam with a pitch to score a run.
