MIAMI (November 21, 2016) -- FIU women's basketball is at home for three games this week, starting Tuesday night, when the Georgetown Hoyas visit Lime Court at FIU Arena for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
This is the third meeting between the schools, but the first time they have played in Miami. The Panthers and Hoyas last battled on the hardwood in 2001 in Washington, D.C. Georgetown won both previous meetings in the series.
The Panthers are still finding their identity and rotations on the floor, having played just twice this season. In the home opener on November 11, the Panthers welcomed back 2015 C-USA Rookie of the Year Keandre'a Pound (Gifford, Florida / Sebastian River) after a year away from basketball, and she scored 13 points and collected a team-leading five rebounds in the home loss to UCF.
