MIAMI (Feb. 2, 2022) – Sara Gyertyanffy and Maha Gouda of the FIU women's swimming and diving team were named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week and Diver of the Week, respectively, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
FIU has now garnered 13 C-USA weekly awards during the 2021-22 campaign, with Gouda collecting her third and Gyertyanffy earning her first. The Blue & Gold have now swept C-USA weekly awards on six occasions this season.
The awards come for FIU after the Panthers' excellent performance in a dual-meet victory over FAU (196-104) last Friday, Jan.
