MIAMI (July 23, 2019) – Four FIU track and field standouts have been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Clarissa Cutliff (Orlando, Florida/Edgewater H.S.), Asha James (Canaan, Tobago), Gabrielle Rains (Sherwood Park, Alberta), and Reed Service (Tampa, Florida/Riverview H.S.) were all recognized for their academic achievements during the 2019 track and field season.
Cutliff (3.83 GPA in psychology), James (3.54 GPA in psychology), Rains (3.53 GPA in sports and fitness) and Service (3.28 GPA) all advanced to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Prelims qualifying them for the honor, along with their impressive grade point averages.
