EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — FIU's football program closed out its non-conference slate with an 51-10 defeat at UConn on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers (2-3, 0-1 CUSA) ended 2025 non-conference action with a 2-2 record following the 41-point defeat to the Huskies (4-2) on the road. Kejon Owens led the offense, accounting for 67 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Anthony Carrie chipped in 48 yards, of which included a 29-yard gain on an FIU scoring, to help the Panther rushing attack to 130 total yards. Keyone Jenkins completed 15 passes for 74 yards and had two turnovers, one fumble and one interception.
