Florida Gulf Coast scored in the first four innings en route to a 13-6 win over FIU on Tuesday night at Infinity Insurance Park.
The Eagles (15-5) scored two runs in the first and third innings, three runs in the second and four runs in the fourth to defeat the Panthers (10-12) in the first of two meetings this season. The teams play in Fort Myers on May 2.
FIU got on the board in the fourth when Adan Fernandez drew a bases loaded walk from starter Bryan Wilcox. The Panthers added two more runs in the frame.
