MIAMI (October 30, 2016) -- After nearly four full days of rain, the FIU Soccer Stadium turf had all it could handle, but the rains continued to come Sunday as the Panthers succumbed to Old Dominion by a 1-0 final to conclude the regular season. FIU finishes the year at 3-11-3 overall, 2-6-2 in Conference USA. By virtue of the win, ODU claims the final spot in the C-USA Championships this week in Charlotte. The Monarchs are 11-7 overall, and 5-5 in C-USA.
The lone score of the game was an own goal by FIU right on the 39-minute mark.
