ATLANTA, Ga. (Feb. 25, 2016) – The FIU swimming and diving team scored 259 points during the second day of the 2016 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships to widen its lead through seven events on Thursday evening.
Of the five events of the day, FIU claimed three first place, three second place and two third place finishes to take a 117-point lead over second place Marshall (222). Rice (203), North Texas (160), Florida Atlantic (149) and Old Dominion (116) round out the standings through two days and seven events.
"The team was exceptional today," Head Coach Randy Horner said.
