ATLANTA (Feb. 21, 2018) – Setting school records in both the 200 Medley and 800 Free Relays for the second straight year, the FIU swimming and diving team completed the first day of the 2018 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships with a 12-point lead, sitting atop the leader board from the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center on Wednesday.
FIU earned 40 points right off the bat winning the 200 Medley Relay. The team of junior Naomi Ruele, freshman Sara Gyertyanffy, senior Letizia Bertelli and senior Ally Mayhew took first place with a school-record time of 1:37.
