The Basics
-FIU lost its first dual meet of the season, to Rice 136.5-84.5, to begin the Dual-A-Pool-Ooza at Tulane University's Reily Natatorium Friday evening. Rice entered the week as the top-ranked squad in the Mid-Major poll at CollegeSwimming.com. FIU was third in that poll. The two-day event will feature three unique dual meets in three shortened programs in a 24-hour period.
-FIU took the diving with Brooke Bouchard (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) scoring 265.
