FIU’s Naomi Ruele Selected for NCAA Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 3, 2016) – FIU redshirt freshman Naomi Ruele has been selected to swim in this year's NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga. (March 16-19) announced on Wednesday.

This marks the fifth-straight season a Panther has been selected for the NCAA Championships.

The native of Botswana qualified in the 50 Free, posting a school-record time of 22.23 during last weekend's Conference USA Championships. Her time of 22.23 was also a C-USA Championships record. Ruele was perfect during the C-USA Championships, winning gold in each of the seven events she swam in (three individual, four relays).
