EUGENE, Ore. (June 11, 2016) – Senior Marcus Ghent placed ninth in the triple jump finals during the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships from Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on Friday.
Among the 24 student-athletes in the event, Ghent recorded the ninth-best mark with a jump of 15.87 meters. The 15.87-meter jump was the second-best mark of his career.
The native of native of Cheverly, Maryland, qualified for the finals after setting the school-record mark of 16.21 meters to finish fourth in this year's NCAA East Prelims in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 28.
