The Basics
The FIU men's and women's track and field teams closed out its season-opening outdoor weekend on Saturday, at the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational, at UM's Cobb Stadium, recording an impressive showing. The Panthers placed five student-athletes in the top-five of their respective events, and 16 in the top-10.
Men's Highlights
- On the men's side, Luares Tavares (Taunton, Massachusetts) recorded a first-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 14.
