MIAMI (October 30, 2017) – FIU senior cornerback Brad Muhammad (St. Petersburg, Florida/Admiral Farragut Academy) has been named the Conference USA Football Defensive Player of the Week, for the week ending Oct. 28, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The honor is the first of Muhammad's career.
Muhammad set a career-high with 10 tackles and recorded two interceptions in the 41-30 road win at Marshall. He intercepted a third quarter pass and returned it 12 yards for a touchdown, FIU's first pick-six since Isaiah Brown at Old Dominion on Nov.
