MIAMI (Oct. 28, 2016) – The FIU women's tennis team was perfect in singles action during the first day of the 2016 Panther Invitational on Friday from the FIU Tennis Courts.
FIU garnered wins by junior Mina Markovic (6-3, 6-1 versus Illinois State's Jelena Karla Vujicic), senior Nina Nagode (6-3, 6-1 versus Stetson's Danielle Peele), sophomore Nerma Caluk (6-1, 6-0 versus USF's Hailey Grillo) and sophomore Gabriela Ferreira (6-1, 6-1 versus Stetson's Brittany Hill) to go 4-0 on Friday.
All seven Panthers will compete in semifinal action on Saturday in the tournament's four singles draws.
