LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 3, 2017) – The FIU women's tennis team defeated the No. 46-ranked UNLV Rebels, 5-2, on Friday afternoon from Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas, Nevada. FIU is now 8-1 this season, while the Rebels fall to 6-4.
The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles portion of the match. The duo of Andrea Lazaro and Nina Nagode defeated Carol Yang and Aiwen Zhu, 6-3, and the tandem of Maryna Veksler and Ulyana Grib downed En-Pei Huang and Cristina Moroi, 6-1.
