MIAMI (Jan. 20, 2017) – The FIU women's tennis team hosts San Jose State on Monday, Jan. 23, in the Panthers' home opener. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. from the FIU tennis courts.
Admission is free to the public.
FIU is led by sophomore Andrea Lazaro, who was ranked No. 54 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in its first national rankings of the spring season. Lazaro finished this past fall with a 6-3 mark in singles action. The native of Barcelona, Spain, earned Second-Team All-Conference USA honors, recording a 24-9 overall record last season.
