JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The FIU women's tennis team posted a dominating 7-0 win over Georgia Southern University on Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville for its fourth win in its last five dual matches overall.
The Panthers opened play with wins in two of the three dual matches with No. 1 tandem Andjela Skrobonja and Kamila Umarova edging out a 7-5 triumph over Nadja Meier and Dana Heiman, before Andreea Velcea and Yasmine Kabbaj cruised past Silvia Martinez and Hannah Daniel 6-2 to secure the doubles point.
