MIAMI (April 23, 2021) – In addition to an already highly touted FIU women's basketball recruiting class, head coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley announced the addition of transfers Ariel Colón from Elon and María Torres from Colorado State on Friday morning.

Colón, a 5-10 guard from Orlando, comes to Miami after four seasons at Elon where she averaged seven points and 3.6 rebounds in nearly 90 career games with the Phoenix.
Colón had a sensational year in 2019-20, as she led the Phoenix in points per game (11.
