MIAMI (May 2, 2021) - The FIU softball team won its home finale on Sunday, as the Panthers defeated WKU 3-2 at Felsberg Field.
Sunday's game was knotted up at 1-1, before Venessa Gallegos singled to right field and brought home a pair of runs to put the Panthers up 3-1.
WKU scored a run in the top of the seventh to threaten the lead, but freshman Brooklynn Linneman preserved the victory and earned her first career save as a Panther.
Brittany Phillips led the Panthers at the plate with a pair of hits, while Tori Jones earned an RBI with her single to tie the game in the second inning.
