Ruston, La. - The FIU women's volleyball team (7-20, 4-9 C-USA) dropped their Thursday night matchup in four sets against Louisiana Tech University (25-19, 21-25, 14-25, 22-25).
The Panthers were off to a great start in this match winning the first set 25-19. It was close early on and the opening set had nine different ties until LA Tech had a 15-14 edge midway through. From that point, the Panthers rattled off 8 consecutive points to give them a 22-15 lead. The Lady Techsters were not able to recover from that offensive burst by FIU and the Panthers won the first set 25-19.
