MIAMI (August 7, 2023) - FIU throwers Michaelle Valentin and Blake Orr have continued their spring success into the summer, with each earning a bronze medal an international competitions. Valentin took third at the NACAC U23 Games in the discus, while Orr also earned a third place mark at the U20 Pan-American Games.
Valentin, who also competed in the hammer, earned Haiti's first medal in the U23 competition at the NACAC games. Valentin is coming off a spring season in which she earned second-team All-American honors in the discus with a 10th place mark at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
