JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Feb. 22, 2020) – The No. 10 FIU beach volleyball team closed out the UNF Beach Invitational at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex with duals against North Florida and Mercer on Saturday. The Panthers took down the Ospreys 3-2 and swept the Bears 5-0 to move to 3-1 for the early season.
Margherita Bianchin and Federica Frasca remained undefeated for the season, taking down UNF 21-17 and 21-7 before dealing Mercer the 21-12, 21-15 loss. Gina Lipscomb and Lina Bernier went undefeated on court three during the second day of the tournament, while Emma Erteltova and Ali Denny posted a 2-0 record for the day at court two.
