MIAMI (Jan. 4, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team battled Conference USA foe UTSA at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday night. The Panthers topped the Roadrunners 90-83 in overtime to remain undefeated at home this season.
With the win, FIU moved to 11-4 for the year and 2-0 in league play. UTSA goes to 6-9 with the loss and 0-2 against C-USA opponents.
The Panthers started the contest shooting 46.7% from the field but allowed the Roadrunners to shoot 51.5% in the half, and the team trailed UTSA 42-39 when the squads went to the locker room.
