MURFREESBORO, Tennessee (Jan. 8, 2021) — The FIU men's basketball team faced Middle Tennessee at the Murphy Center on Friday night for the Panthers' first Conference USA road game of the season. Antonio Daye, Jr. led the way with 17 points as FIU took down the Blue Raiders 68-55.
FIU moved to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in C-USA play, while MT dropped to 2-5 for the year and 0-1 against league opponents.
In the opening half, the Panthers shot 38.7% from the floor but shot just 6-20 from three. FIU forced 12 Middle Tennessee turnovers, and the Panthers went to the locker room with the 32-24 advantage.
