CONWAY, South Carolina (March 13, 2021) – The FIU baseball team prevailed over Coastal Carolina in game one of Saturday's doubleheader 7-4 before falling in game two by a score of 7-0.
In game one, struck out five Chanticleers over five innings for his first win of the 2021 campaign. In relief, earned his first save since 2018 by striking out the side in the home half of the ninth.
Overall, the Panther pitchers punched out 13 Chanticleer batters for their seventh double-digit strikeout performance of the season.
Coastal got on the board first in the third before a pair of Panthers scored on a Chanticleer error to give FIU the 2-1 lead.
