HATTIESBURG, Miss. (May 10, 2017) -- FIU redshirt senior Dani Mowry (Cocoa, Florida / Space Coast HS) has been named to the 2017 Conference USA All-Academic Team as voted on by the Media Relations contacts at each member institution.
Mowry, who graduated last year with a degree in Recreation and Sport Management, has gone back to complete her prerequisite courses in the Pre-Nursing program. She currently possesses a 3.91 grade point average in psychology, and intends to attend nursing school after her playing career.
After losing two full seasons due to different injuries, Mowry has stayed healthy the past two seasons, setting career high this season in at bats, runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI and the three major offensive averages (batting, slugging and on-base).
