MIAMI (April 28, 2019) – The Panthers picked up a series win over Southern Miss on Sunday afternoon, as the FIU softball team downed the Golden Eagles 8-6 to cap the 2019 home slate.
Sunday's game served as Senior Day, with Tatyana Forbes, Deven Kennedy, Megan Kugelmann, Natalie Orcutt and Jackie Schoff being honored.
With the victory, FIU improves to 25-23 overall and 6-14 in conference play, Southern Miss drops to 29-19 overall and 12-9 in C-USA.
FIU's Megan Kugelmann picked up the win in the series finale after allowing just four runs off four hits in three innings of work.
