MIAMI (Dec. 19, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team welcomed Georgia Southern to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday night. The Panthers fell to the Eagles 103-99 in double overtime.
FIU dropped to 5-2 with the loss, while Georgia Southern moved to 5-2 following the win. The contest marks the first double-overtime game for the Panthers since 2016.
In the first half, the Panther squad came out flat, shooting just 33.3% overall while also committing 15 turnovers. The FIU bench outscored the opposition 12-9 but the Panthers trailed the Eagles 35-24 at the half.
