MIAMI (April 4, 2021) - The FIU women's tennis team downed visiting USF on Sunday afternoon, as the Panthers improved to 9-0 following the 4-2 win.
With the win, FIU improves to 9-0 overall and has won their last 14 matches dating back to last season. The 9-0 start is FIU's best since 1994.
FIU jumped out to a 1-0 advantage on Sunday, after the Panthers took decisions on courts one and three to earn the doubles point.
In singles action, Marina Alcaide and Friday's hero Andjela Skronbonja won in straight-sets, while Andreea Velcea clinched the 4-2 victory with her three-set tiebreaker on court five.
